R&D and Key Technologies for Ships and Islands Desalination Safeguard Systems
Zhejiang Chimey Environmental Science and Technology Co., Ltd. led the development of key technologies and equipment for providing freshwater to ships and islands, addressing the unique challenges of offshore water supply. Over three years of research and testing, the team analyzed global seawater desalination technologies and developed an advanced freshwater system that meets international drinking water standards. This innovative system combines two-stage seawater desalination with rapid water mineralization, ensuring reliable and high-quality water supply for offshore environments.

The system integrates water production, storage, and distribution with advanced components such as reverse osmosis units, water quality regulation, disinfection, filtration, and real-time monitoring. Designed for global deployment, it operates in temperatures ranging from -2°C to 40°C (with heating below 4°C) and salinity levels up to 45,000 mg/L. The solution is ideal for ships, islands, offshore platforms, and marine oil exploration, while its mineralization technology also offers applications for large desalination plants, promising broad industry adoption.
